I work in a laboratory of a local brewery and on the whole we have really good fun. One of the things we use often is a gauge to check Ppm or parts per million of various compounds in the brewing process. We have to check Ppm every day to ensure that the brew is as it should be and, as we get the company perk of being able to take some of the product home with us every month, it is in our best interests to ensure that the Ppm is correct. At present I am working shifts and, whilst this is sometimes a nuisance as it does interfere with everyday life to an extent, sometimes I relish the fact that I can sleep during the day when other members of the community are at work. I suppose I am lucky in that I get on really well with most of the people I work with who also work a similar pattern so we socialise together when we are not working our shifts. We do have some really good nights out but, often when we are on a night shift, we will also all go out to breakfast together the next day and catch up on all our out of work gossip. The best thing about the job is that the money is very good and, because I do not work sociable hours, it means I can save up quite a lot of money.
